two thanksgiving dinners

Most years, Nancy and I travel back to the midwest for the holidays, often at Thanksgiving. Of course visiting family and friends is the primary objective, but it would be foolish to deny that a pleasant fringe-benefit is getting  two Thanksgiving dinners — once with Nancy’s mom & dad and then another with mine :-).

This year sadly we couldn’t make the trip. But we were delighted to be invited by Tylor and Jen to join their Thanksgiving dinner. Tylor’s parents and siblings had flown in from Minnesota, so we got to meet them too which was great! Pictured below during the evening movie-watching, beagles Flash and Tucker keep an alert watch for any stray popcorn Tylor might drop.

The next day, Friday, we had our own second Thanksgiving dinner. We invited over Chris plus Bo & Amber and Mark & Elisha, and I feel safe in reporting that a good time was had by all. I wish I had taken more pictures, but someone at least got a shot of me and the puppies (which I include because I don’t get many pictures of myself in this blog :-)
