Haiku-O-Matic week 2
It’s the end of week 2 of the Haiku-O-Matic wordgame, the halfway point with two weeks to go, and I’d like to share with you more of the Haiku-O-Matic haiku created by others who have done the wordgame so far:
from “Gloriana”
autumnal dusky forest –
deer, chipmunks quiet, peaceful
whispering breezes
This is nice; notice how the observer would have to have been as quiet and peaceful as the surroundings to make the scene even possible, with deer and chipmunks feeling confident enough to move around.
from “Valhala”
inky night slinks over our eyes
dark wind howls cold shivers –
the wordcrafter pens his passion
Great wordplay: “inky night slinks”, “dark wind howls”; you’re a pretty good wordcrafter yourself, Val!
from “Aveena”
Black clouds roiling
Frigid beating rain
My broken heart cries
Pretty intense, and it goes to show haiku don’t have to be calm and peaceful. Aveena, if this is from RL then hang in there!
from “mysoul”
Breeze, a gentle storm
At Dusk, afloat feather lands
Waiting for the thump.
Very zen!
Update (November 2, 2008) read the Haiku-O-Matic haiku created during the other weeks: week 1 | week 3 | week 4

Thanks for taking me back to my dark and so serious goth high school days. Ok shaking it off now. lol
